Due to the huge amount of traffic received on our Sheffield site Artful Lodger realized there was a desperate need to find out which Estate Agents in Liverpool could be given the coveted Approved Button. With over 150 calls and emails each month with the simple question ‘do you know any good estate agents in Liverpool?’ Artful decided it was high time to go out and find a way that would enable us to actually advise people of the Estate Agents who, in our eyes was a good company to deal with for someone who is moving to Liverpool for the first time and of course has no idea who the estate agents in Liverpool actually are (remember we all know the popular property media press but out of town folk don’t!)

The criteria is simple. An estate agent approaches us and asks to be "Mystery Shopped". The Agent is then contacted anytime in the next month without prior knowledge and asked the following set of questions we call the 10 point MOT (Method Of Testing!):

Is the phone answered within 6 rings?

Is there a pleasant manner?

Were you passed through to relevant department?

Did the agent have first hand knowledge of the enquiry?

Were you offered further information?

If detail sent by post did it arrive promptly? Or if pointed to website, were clear and accurate details given?

Were your details taken for future reference?

Is the agents web site above standard for help and details and is it up to date?

Did the agent inspire confidence in that agency?

Was the agents overall efficiency in our eyes satisfactory?

If the estate agent receives 7/10 or above then the coveted thumbs up Approved Award is given. With this test we then feel confident that when asked about which estate agent someone should use we can direct them to the ones that have all the attributes a client could hope for and expect. One final point is this –once approved the estate agents in Liverpool are then subjected to a similar test at least once every quarter to maintain consistency and Artful Lodger reserves the right to remove any agent who then fails the subsequent test twice thereby keeping a consistency for the client on who they should be dealing with.
